Nacero Receives Air Quality Permit for Initial Manufacturing Site in Penwell, TX

ODESSA, TX, November 29, 2021 – Nacero Inc. (Nacero) is pleased to announce that the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) has issued an Air Quality Permit authorizing the construction and operation of the company’s first low and net-zero carbon footprint gasoline manufacturing plant in Penwell, Texas, eight miles from Odessa, Texas.

“This is a major step forward in our effort to become the climate solution for millions of everyday drivers across Texas and the United States,” said Jay McKenna, Nacero’s President and CEO.“ This is the first of a series of facilities that will bring affordable lower lifecycle carbon footprint Nacero BlueTM gasoline and net-zero lifecycle carbon footprint Nacero GreenTM gasoline to market.”

The granting of an Air Quality Permit to Nacero means that the company has successfully demonstrated to Texas environmental officials that its Penwell facility will comply with all air quality regulations.

“With the issuance of the Air Quality Permit, site preparation and construction can move forward,” said Wesley Burnett, Project Integration Director for Nacero. “We expect to break ground in first quarter of 2022 on this transformational project.”
